Upon placing an order, a receipt is automatically emailed confirming purchase intent. This receipt does not constitute a contract, and orders may be canceled at any time due to inability to authorize a credit card, suspicion of fraudulent intent, discovery of an incorrectly priced item, insufficient stock, or any other reason, as we see fit. Please note that Public Laundry shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders, whether or not your credit card has been charged.

If your credit card has already been charged and your order is canceled, Public Laundry shall issue a refund to your credit card account for the amount you paid. Public Laundry cannot guarantee that all items included in the shop are in stock at the time of your order.

If an item is unavailable, the Public Laundry Customer Service team will notify you in a timely manner.

Public Laundry reserves the right to amend content of the site at any time. Public Laundry will always strive to keep all of the information on the site as accurate as possible, including images and pricing, but errors can occur.

Public Laundry reserves the right to cancel any order prior to shipping, should we find an error in pricing.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover credit card payments as well as PayPal, Amazon Payments, ApplePay, AliPay and Installments by Afterpay, and installments with Shop Pay.

Installments by Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four equal payments made every 2 weeks without any interest. Installments by Afterpay is only available to US customers with a billing address within the US and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay. What is the option to pay in installments on Shop Pay?
When checking out with Shop Pay, you now have the option to pay now or
later. Paying in installments on Shop Pay allows you to split your purchase
amount into 4 equal, biweekly installment payments—with 0% interest, no
hidden or late fees, and no impact on your credit score.* In some
instances, your first payment is due when you make your purchase;
otherwise, your first payment is due 2 weeks after your purchase.

Which payment methods are accepted if I use the option to pay ininstallments on Shop Pay? The installments option on Shop Pay is available on debit and credit cards. Are there late fees? No, there are no late fees if you miss a scheduled payment. What if I make a return on a purchase made through installments with Shop Pay? If we process a refund, the refunded amount will be returned to your originalpayment method within 3-10 business days, and your balance will be updated. If your refund is less than your total purchase balance, it might not lower your nextpayment. Instead, you can expect fewer payments, a smaller final payment, or both.If your refund is more than your purchase balance, the difference will be returned toyour original payment method within 3-10 business days. Once your order has shipped you will receive an email confirmation of shipment that includes a tracking number and a link to track your package all the way to your door.

We are currently shipping orders on Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Tracking numbers are updated when shipments are picked up at the end of the day. If you have not received an email with a tracking number within 2 business days of placing your order, feel free to contact us.

PLEASE NOTE that due to current world events shipping delays may occur. We are working closely with our carriers to ensure your package will be delivered ASAP.

Specifically orders to China, Australia and a few other select countries are experiencing significant delays that are out of our control. For faster guaranteed shipping upgrading to an expedited option is recommended. Thanks for your patience.

International Shipments

Standard Delivery is through RRD via your local post and includes tracking. Delivery time is 1-3 weeks. If you are not home to accept the delivery, your order may be left at your local post office. Express Delivery is by FedEx International Priority Service. Delivery time is between 3-5 business days. All FedEx shipments will require signature upon delivery.

ALL APPLICABLE CUSTOMS FEES, TAXES AND DUTIES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. CUSTOMS AUTHORITIES REQUIRE THAT WE STATE THE VALUE OF THE ORDER DIRECTLY ON YOUR PACKAGE. IT IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF CUSTOMS AGENTS TO RELEASE YOUR PACKAGE.

If you refuse your shipment or are unable to retrieve your package, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees, duties or taxes that are incurred, and the cost of the returning the package to Public Laundry. The amount will be deducted from your refund. In the instance that the return fee exceeds the amount of your order, the package will be abandoned and you will not be refunded.

Returns or exchanges are accepted within 14 days of original purchase, less shipping and handling.

All garments must be unworn, unwashed, and without alterations.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our chosen direct payment gateway, Authorize.net stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
